On Wednesday evening, the weather will remain dry, becoming progressively duller from the west, with the arrival of very low-level snowfall in the second half of the night, especially after 2 or 3 am. Snow likely to remain on the ground until dawn on Thursday, reaching the plains before the thaw.
Thursday, very cloudy or grey weather with frequent precipitation throughout the day. There may be snow as far down as the plains at the start of the day, then at lower altitudes. The snow then mixes with rain as the hours go by, with an increasingly noticeable thaw. The rain-snow limit then rises to 1000 m, then 1500 to 1800 m, and even 2000 m in the Chablais region by evening. Accumulations difficult to estimate, several cms in the morning between 400 and 1000 m, but quickly washed away or compacted by the afternoon rain. Heavy snow all day above 2000 m, with 15 to 40 cm of fresh snow.
In the evening and overnight on Friday, flakes again possible at lower altitudes.
Temperatures forecast for the Rhône plain: lows 0° to 2°, highs 2° to 5°. In stations around 1500m: lows -3 to -2°, highs 0 to 2°. On the summits: -2/0° at 2000m, -8/-5° at 3000m. Isotherm 0°: 2000m.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with intermittent precipitation and occasional clear spells, mainly in the lowlands. There may still be snow or flakes at relatively low altitudes, but this is still uncertain.
Seasonal temperatures with highs of 4 to 7 degrees in the lowlands and 0 to 2 degrees around 1000m and flakes around 1000m.
Saturday will be drier and brighter. Although there will be occasional cloud banks, the sun will dominate fairly frequently. Despite this, there will be a marked cooling. Cold temperatures with widespread morning frosts, then highs of 2 to 4 degrees in the lowlands and -3 to -1 degrees around 1000m.
Sunday was much the same as the previous day, with dry weather that was often cloudy or variable, but with occasional moments of sunshine. Very cold in the morning, with occasional frosts at dawn, and little thawing during the day in the lowlands.
On Monday and Tuesday, the outlook is still unclear, but the weather is likely to be changeable and generally dry, with widespread cloudy spells.
