This Wednesday, sunny in the morning despite a few residual clouds at first, especially along the relief. In the afternoon, still generous sunshine at first, then increasingly cloudy skies by the end of the day. In the late evening, frequent snowfalls arrive, generally reaching the plains and lasting well into the night. Temperatures fairly cold.

Temperatures forecast for the Rhône plain: lows -5 to -2°, highs 2 to 4°. At stations around 1500m: lows -10 to -5°, highs -1 to 1°. On the summits: -8/-4° at 2000m, -13/-8° at 3000m. Isotherm of 0°: 1600m.

Next few days in Valais

Thursday, very cloudy with frequent rain and snow. Snowfall limits may be low at first, rising to between 1000 and 2000m depending on the region. Snow often on the plains in the Upper Valais, but great uncertainty for the day.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with scattered showers but also some clear spells, mainly in the lowlands. Seasonal temperatures, with highs of 3 to 5 degrees in the lowlands and -1 to 1 degree around 1500m, and flakes around 1000m.

Saturday and Sunday will be sunny overall, despite a few cloudy patches, especially in the mornings and along the hills. Cold temperatures with widespread morning frosts, then highs of 2 to 4 degrees on the plains and -4 to -2 degrees around 1500m.

On Monday and Tuesday, the outlook is still unclear, but the weather is likely to be changeable and generally dry, with widespread cloudy spells.
